ELOS Carbon D is an activated carbon with a number of unique characteristics that significantly outperforms other high grade commercial carbons on several aspect like total capacity to remove aquarium organic matter, rate of adsorption and duration of use, internal surface area, and accessibility of internal pores. The pore size distribution, highly important for the practical application, have been defined to best fit the matrix (liquid) and treatment (polluted fresh water) conditions. A unique pore structure, attained by combining the right raw material and activation conditions and its very high surface area (close to 1100 m2) gives Elos Carbon its unique characteristic in term of absorption.

Elos Filtra P FAST is an efficient phospahte remover based on IRON. ELOS FiltraP FAST, should be use as a “sintohomatic products”. It should be used to rapidly reduce the level of phosphate. It is also suggested to use the ALUMINUM BASED formula (ELOS FILTRA P) from the setup in order to keep PO4 constantly under control..

Elevated concentrations of phosphate leads to the growth of various nuisance algae and will inhibit the growth in SPS stony corals as well as calcareous algae. High concentrations of phosphate will also darken SPS corals causing them to “brown out” .

Phosphates may be present as organic or inorganic phosphates inside our marine aquarium.

ELOS Hydro Pur is a pure calcium hydroxide with unsurpassed purity and solubility characteristics. Used to prepare “kalkwasser” solutions that will maintain calcium concentrations at natural seawater levels its use inside an approriate reactor will be the best solution to maintain calcium as well as carbonate alkalinity.

The use of ELOS Combi Calcium as well as ELOS Extra Calcium is also suggested (do not mix these directly with a kalkwasser solution). ELOS Hydro Pure is an high purity limewater mix that request a skilled use. Beginners my prefer to use simpler methods to maintain the proper Calcium levels.
